Finally – a president who will take action and protect our ocean

We need to elect leaders who truly care about our climate. From the water district to the oval office, our leaders have the power to make a real difference in tackling the climate crisis.

At Global Warming Solutions, our mission is simple: elect leaders who will prioritize climate action and advocate for policies that help us mitigate and adapt to climate change. Will you donate now to help us in this important work?

The ocean plays a crucial role in our climate system, and without the ocean, there is no path to a healthy and livable climate.

That's why the Biden administration developed the Ocean Action Climate Plan (OCAP). It aims to promote urgent and immediate actions that combat climate change, protect coastal communities and marine resources, and ensure a sustainable ocean economy.

The OCAP has three main goals:

Create a carbon-neutral future by eliminating harmful emissions that contribute to climate change. That means increasing offshore wind and marine energy, reducing carbon emissions from maritime shipping, and developing technologies to remove and store carbon dioxide. Accelerate nature-based solutions that protect and support coastal and ocean systems, which store greenhouse gases and help safeguard communities and ecosystems from climate-related changes. There is an emphasis on protecting blue carbon, which is saving and restoring coastal and marine habitats that naturally store carbon, as well as expanding protected areas in the ocean. Enhance community resilience to ocean change by developing ocean-based solutions that help communities adapt and thrive in the face of climate change. The OCAP is about creating job opportunities and ensuring the sustainability of our coastal communities and ocean economy. It's about standing up for our fisheries, aquaculture, and fishing workers and taking actions that address the changing ocean conditions. At the heart of the Ocean Climate Action Plan is a commitment to environmental justice, ensuring that historically underrepresented voices are represented in the decision-making process.

By putting the OCAP into action, we can make real progress in the fight against climate change.

This plan became a reality because regular people like you and me came together and said, "We need something different." If we want to see more climate policies like the OCAP, we've got to support climate champions up and down the ballot.

Help us get more climate champions into office; chip in now!

More soon,

Rob
